Two combined scanning electron microscopic methods including modified fixative procedures were used for studying the morphologic aspects of the odontoblasts and the corresponding dentinal wall at different endodontic levels. The odontoblasts were tightly packed in the pulp horn, where they assumed pear-shaped profiles and, from crown to apex, successively looked spindle shaped, club shaped, and globular. Their number decreased in the pulp radicular portion, where the interglobular spaces were enlarged. The filling fibrillar material varied from crown to apex. A globular circumpulpal dentin was observed at all levels of the root canal. The tubule openings varied in number and size.

Dye-laden wastewater poses a significant environmental and health threat. This study investigated the potential of green-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), derived from Padina pavonica brown algae extract, for the removal of methylene blue (MB) dye. The hypothesis was that utilizing algal extract for ZnO NP synthesis would enhance adsorption capacity and photocatalytic activity for dye removal.

The Chen-van-Dyck (CVD) formulation as a rigorous numerical solution to the Schrödinger equation has been demonstrated being the only accurate multislice method for calculating diffraction and imaging in low-energy transmission electron microscopy. The CVD formulation not only considers the forward scattering effects but also includes the backscattering effects. However, since its numerical computation has to be performed in real-space, the CVD method may suffer from divergence and inefficiency in computing time, especially when used for low-energy scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) image simulation.

Landfilling is common in developing countries since it is the easiest and cheapest way of waste disposal, however, it leads to serious environmental problems such as soil, water, and air pollution.
