Hemangiolymphangioma is a mixed vascular malformation that is detected in the prenatal period by sonography. Five cases of prenatal diagnosis have been reported that have resulted in termination of pregnancy (two) or aggressive versus purely surgical post-natal management. We present the case of an infant with pre-natal diagnosis of a multicystic intra-abdominal mass that received surgical management followed by conservative treatment.

Background: Consuming prebiotics demonstrated therapeutic potential against obesity, as illustrated by our previous study on xylooligosaccharide (XOS), revealing that XOS reduced adiposity, diminished systemic inflammation, and restored cognitive function in obese insulin-resistant rats through the gut-brain axis. Fresh bananas at various ripening stages are being transformed into snacks, indicating potential as prebiotic-based treats enriched with fructooligosaccharide and inulin. Despite those findings, there remains a notable gap in the literature concerning the impact of these prebiotic-based snacks on brain inflammation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and cognitive function in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese rats.

Background: Over the past years, social cognition has been envisaged as a promising domain to distinguish behavioral variant frontotemporal degeneration (bvFTD) from its main differential diagnoses that is primary psychiatric disorders (PPD). The core-processes approach, which has emphasized the importance of emotion recognition and mentalizing, has been particularly useful to better characterize each condition and enhance the earliness of FTD's diagnosis. Current assays fail to address breast cancer's complex biology and accurately predict treatment response. On a retrospective cohort of 1082 female breast tissues, we develop and validate mFISHseq, which integrates multiplexed RNA fluorescent in situ hybridization with RNA-sequencing, guided by laser capture microdissection. This technique ensures tumor purity, unbiased whole transcriptome profiling, and explicitly quantifies intratumoral heterogeneity.
