The epidemiology of the mental and physical health of children and adolescents the world over reflects: the genomes they inherit (and the modifications those genes undergo in utero); the pregnancies that led to their births, whether their mothers survive those pregnancies, and whether their births were welcome; the parents, the neighbors, and the neighborhoods they 'inherit' along with their genomes; when and where they live (by cohort, by country, and by province); the air they breathe; the water they drink; what and how much they eat; the schools they attend (and by whom they are taught what and for how long); the energy they expend; the family status in the social order; the friends they have; and last but not least, the amount and kind of medical and psychiatric care they receive.

Determining the relationships between miRNA expression, target genes, and cancer development is critical to cancer research. The possibility of correlating miRNA expression with plant or artificial ones provides prerequisites for cancer treatment. Based on the broad database of human miRNA expression for all cancer types, we grade human miRNAs by their expression level.

Therapy resistance still constitutes a common hurdle in the treatment of many human cancers and is a major reason for treatment failure and patient relapse, concomitantly with a dismal prognosis. In addition to "intrinsic resistance", e.g.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a widespread condition that increasingly affects the older adults, highlighting the need for a detailed examination of its global impact. Our research aimed to evaluate the LBP's burden and trends in individuals over 55 years of age across 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021.
Methods: We analyzed the data from the Global Burden of Disease 2021, focusing on LBP prevalence, incidence, and years lived with disability (YLDs), along with associated risk factors.

Irregular and unpredictable fetal movement is the most common cause of artifacts in in utero functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), affecting analysis and limiting our understanding of early functional brain development. The accurate detection of corrupted functional connectivity (FC) resulting from motion artifacts or preprocessing, instead of neural activity, is a prerequisite for reliable and valid analysis of FC and early brain development. Approaches to address this problem in adult data are of limited utility in fetal fMRI.

Terrestrial vegetation is a key component of the Earth system, regulating the exchange of carbon, water, and energy between land and atmosphere. Vegetation affects soil moisture dynamics by absorbing and transpiring soil water, thus modulating land-atmosphere interactions. Moreover, changes in vegetation structure (e.
