The extraordinary transmission through silver film perforated with rectangular hole array with different aspect ratio was investigated. It was found that when the aspect ratio exceeded 7, the propagating surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) transformed to localized resonance mode. The role of the Wood's anomaly on the shape of the transmission spectrum is investigated. By designing the rectangular hole arrays in a rectangular lattice, the Wood's anomaly can be shifted far apart from the transmission peak, the real localized resonance peak wavelength was identified and fitted well with the theoretical calculation using a simplified transmission-line model.

Introduction: Traditional extraocular electrical stimulation typically produces diffuse electric fields across the retina, limiting the precision of targeted therapy. Temporally interfering (TI) electrical stimulation, an emerging approach, can generate convergent electric fields, providing advantages for targeted treatment of various eye conditions.
Objective: Understanding how detailed structures of the retina, especially the optic nerve, affects electric fields can enhance the application of TI approach in retinal neurodegenerative and vascular diseases, an essential aspect that has been frequently neglected in previous researches.

Methods: The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis were reported in accordance with the International Recommended Reporting items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis guidelines.

Methods: The cross-sectional research utilized data spanning 2017 to March 2020, sourced from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The GSD data were collected via questionnaires, with appropriate sample weights applied to ensure the study population was representative.
Many of the 'hallmarks of aging' involve alterations in cellular and organismal metabolism. One pathway with the potential to impact several traditional markers of impaired function with aging is the PI3K/AKT metabolic pathway. Regulation of this pathway includes many aspects of cellular function, including protein synthesis, proliferation and survival, as well as many downstream targets, including mTOR and FOXOs.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the sociodemographic and behavioral factors related to increased influenza vaccination uptake during the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea, particularly among adults not eligible for free vaccination.
Methods: Analyzing data from 78,815 participants in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2010-2021), we assessed trends in influenza vaccination coverage. Various sociodemographic factors, behavioral aspects, and psychological stress levels were assessed using multivariable logistic regression to evaluate the difference in vaccination response during pre-/post-COVID-19 periods.
