Background: Health care systems and the nursing profession worldwide are being transformed by technology and digitalization. Nurses acquire digital competence through their own experience in daily practice, but also from education and training; nursing education providers thus play an important role. The study analyses scientific knowledge circulation between Brazil and the United States, drawing on Rockefeller Foundation's funding to Escola Paulista de Medicina to modernize medical training. The chosen initial chronological landmark is 1956, when the foundation started funding the Brazilian institution, and the final year is 1962, deadline for spending the grants. The study's sources are dossiers collected at Rockefeller Archive Center, analyzed drawing on the evidential paradigm.

Objectives: to identify how first-year nursing students use cyberspace and propose an orientation guide with criteria guiding the use of cyberspace.
Methods: qualitative and descriptive research, carried out with 24 nursing students from a federal public institution in Rio de Janeiro. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews.
The article by Sweigart et al. presents concerns, challenges, and proposals for the current situation, both nationally and internationally, and the need for a diversity of medical care practice scenarios that simultaneously develop teaching abilities. Medical education is now conducted outside the university-affiliated teaching hospital, often in the so-called community or general hospitals dedicated to patient care.
