Stereophotograms and stereoangiograms of the fundus in selected pathological conditions are presented. The simultaneous performance of fundus stereograms are devoid of drawbacks and faults encountered in stereoscopic pictures registered in double time. A major consistency of the half-pictures results from an identical utilization of the focal depth and an uniform illumination in one exposure. In the fluorographic examination this method is a method of choice in the registration of a spatial picture throughout the examination.

Introduction: The binocular system provides a stereoscopic view from slightly different retinal images and produces perceptual alternations, namely, binocular rivalry, from significantly different retinal images. When we observe a stereogram in which the stimulus configurations induce stereopsis and rivalry simultaneously, the binocular system prefers stereopsis to rivalry. However, changes in visual perception are yet to be investigated by parametrically manipulating the components of a stereogram.

Horizontal and vertical vergence eye movements play a central role in binocular coordination. Neurophysiological studies suggest that cortical and subcortical regions in animals and humans are involved in horizontal vergence. However, little is known about the extent to which the neural mechanism underlying vertical vergence overlaps with that of horizontal vergence.

Horizontal disparities between the two eyes' retinal images are the primary cue for depth. Commonly used random ot tereograms (RDS) intentionally camouflage the disparity cue, breaking the correlations between monocular image structure and the depth map that are present in natural images. Because of the nonlinear nature of visual processing, it is unlikely that simple computational rules derived from RDS will be sufficient to explain binocular vision in natural environments.

We describe a novel method of stereoscopic 3D slit-lamp photography using a portable compact 3D digital camera. Thirteen eyes of 13 patients underwent slit-lamp photography using a Fujifilm 3D compact digital camera. We modified a universal smartphone microscope adapter to attach the camera to the slit-lamp.
