Background: This study was performed to define the dimensions of the rotator interval (RI) in adhesive capsulitis using magnetic resonance (MR) arthrography preoperatively to clarify and evaluate pathology.

Methods: We performed a retrospective review of a series of 73 shoulders that underwent MR arthrography. The shoulders were grouped according to their diagnosis: group I comprised 47 shoulders without adhesive capsulitis; group II comprised 26 shoulders with adhesive capsulitis. Using MR arthrography, we estimated the height, base, RI area, width, RI index, and RI ratio.

Results: The group II shoulders differed significantly in height, base, RI area, RI index, and RI ratio from the group I shoulders. There were statistically significant differences in RI dimensions between patients with and without adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder.

Conclusions: Estimating the dimensions of the RI in adhesive capsulitis using MR arthrography may prove to be valuable for assessing patients preoperatively.

Background: Greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS) is a painful condition that can impair a patient's quality of life. If nonoperative measures fail, progressively more invasive treatment options may be required. This clinical trial aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided leukocyte-rich platelet-rich plasma (LR-PRP) injections in the treatment of refractory GTPS caused by bursitis and/or gluteal tendinopathy.

Adventitious bursitis is an inflammatory condition affecting bursae. Distinct from primary or infectious bursitis, adventitious bursitis typically develops secondary to conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, or repetitive joint overuse. The resulting inflammation can lead to pain, swelling, and restricted mobility, significantly impacting patients' quality of life.

Objective: There are several conservative treatment options for adhesive capsulitis (AC), but no previous study combines hydrodilation, corticosteroid injection and joint manipulation under sedation (triple procedure), followed by daily home exercises.

Methods: Patients included were evaluated before the procedure, at 30 days, 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment in prospective cohort. The outcomes used were the ASES, UCLA, SANE, VAS scales and passive range of motion (ROM).

The formation of a functional tibial stump after combat injuries with extensive tissue damage is sometimes difficult. We describe a case of reconstruction of the tibial stump after a mine-blast injury. In this case, the fibula was completely removed as a result of fracture, and the tibia was amputated at the border of the upper and middle thirds.

: Shoulder pain is a common treatment outcome in breast cancer survivors. While various risk factors and mechanisms for shoulder pain have been proposed, evidence is inconsistent. Increased risk of subacromial pain syndrome exists, which can lead to disability and reduced quality of life if untreated.
