Unlabelled: The aim of this study is to evaluate the results obtained in Department of Otolaryngology et Oncology with transversal resection of trachea acc. to Pearson technique for postintubation stenosis.
Methods: from January 2000 to January 2008 ten patients with subglottic postintubation stenosis underwent surgical treatment, using Pearsons method of operation with preservation of recurrent nerves and no postopereative tracheostomy. Mean stenosis length was 2 cm, the length of of airway resection was 1,5-4 cm.
Results: There was no surgical or postoperative complications, all the patients get totally health, no restenosis was observed. The results confirm that the Pearsons method of operation is an adequate treatment for subglottic stenosis.

Objectives: Studies have suggested that computer-aided polyp detection using artificial intelligence improves adenoma identification during colonoscopy. However, its real-world effectiveness remains unclear. Therefore, this study evaluated the usefulness of computer-aided detection during regular surveillance colonoscopy.

Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent tumor in the digestive system, with around one million new cases reported annually, ranking it as the third most common malignancy. Reducing pain is a key research focus. This study evaluates the effect of nalbuphine on the analgesic effect and the expression of pain factors in patients after radical resection.

Following gastrojejunostomy in Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), the mesentery is susceptible to Petersen's hernia due to a mesenteric gap created between the alimentary limb, transverse mesocolon, and retroperitoneum. Although the Petersen's hernia is a rare complication, it has increased due to the widespread adoption of gastric bypass surgeries for weight management and gastric cancer resections. Computed tomography (CT) is commonly used to evaluate suspected cases.

Background: Early anal canal cancer is frequently treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to preserve anal function. However, if the lesion is in the anal canal, then significant difficulties such as bleeding and challenges associated with scope manipulation can arise.
Case Summary: A 70-year-old woman undergoing follow-up after transverse colon cancer surgery was diagnosed with anal canal cancer extending to the dentate line.

The occipital sinus is often thought of as a redundant vestigial structure in adults. However, in rare cases, it can form the dominant route of intracerebral venous drainage, with a risk of significant surgical morbidity if unrecognised. We present an illustrative case describing this anatomical variant and tailoring of a midline suboccipital craniotomy to allow resection of a fourth ventricular epidermoid tumour with preservation of a dominant occipital sinus, and a review of the published literature.
