Objective: To explore the effect of Radii barrier sleeves on the cure depth of composite resin.
Methods: Cylinder mold was prepared, and the resin was filled strictly into the mold. The surface was flattened and then cured with plastic engraver's knife. The depth of composite resin which was cured by QHL75TM with or without Radii barrier sleeves was compared.
Results: The cure depth of composite resin which were cured by QHL75TM with or without Radii barrier sleeves of photo-curing machine was 4.38 mm and 4.27 mm respectively, with no statistical difference.
Conclusion: The cure depth of composite resin is not influenced by Radii barrier sleeves under the same light condition.

Translocation across barriers and through constrictions is a mechanism that is often used in vivo for transporting material between compartments. A specific example is apicomplexan parasites invading host cells through the tight junction that acts as a pore, and a similar barrier crossing is involved in drug delivery using lipid vesicles penetrating intact skin. Here, we use triangulated membranes and energy minimization to study the translocation of vesicles through pores with fixed radii.

Polyelectrolyte multilayer (PEM) membranes, with advantageous features of versatile chemistry and structures, are driving the development of advanced nanofiltration (NF) membranes with exceptional performance. While developing a printing method holds great promise for the eventual mass production of these membranes, reports on the printing method and the underlying mechanisms of membrane formation are currently scarce. Herein, we develop an aerosol-assisted printing (AAP) system for fabricating PEM NF membranes with highly tunable separation characteristics.

The erosion caused by high-temperature calcium-magnesium-alumina-silicate (CMAS) has emerged as a critical impediment to the advancement of thermal barrier coating (TBC). In this study, a series of high-entropy rare earth zirconates, (LaSmDyErGd)(ZrCe)O ( = 0, 0.2, 0.

High-temperature CMAS corrosion has become a crucial factor inhibiting the further development of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) because of the increasing service temperature of aero-engines. Herein, a novel mid-entropy rare-earth hafnate (YGdYb)HfO (YGYbH) was prepared by ultrafast high-temperature sintering (UHS) technology, and its CMAS corrosion behavior and mechanism were investigated. During corrosion, the CaRE(SiO)O apatite phase with a lower formation enthalpy and entropy-stabilized effect had a more intense tendency to be generated, which improves the density and stability of the reaction layer, hindering the further penetration of molten CMAS.

We study superfluid helium droplets multiply charged with Na+ or Ca+ ions. When stable, the charges are found to reside in equilibrium close to the droplet surface, thus representing a physical realization of Thomson's model. We find the minimum radius of the helium droplet that can host a given number of ions using a model whose physical ingredients are the solvation energy of the cations, calculated within the helium density functional theory approach, and their mutual Coulomb repulsion energy.
