Background: Bone marrow aspiration concentrate (BMAC) has garnered increasing interest due to its potential for healing musculoskeletal injuries. While the iliac crest remains a common harvest site, the aspiration technique's efficacy in offering the highest yield and prevalence of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is controversial. This study aimed to compare two different techniques of bone marrow aspiration over the anterior iliac crest from a single level versus multiple levels.

Background/aim: Metastatic prostate cancer is a recalcitrant disease. Our laboratory has previously treated prostate-cancer patients with methionine restriction effected by a low methionine diet and oral recombinant methioninase (o-rMETase), both alone and in combination with other agents. The present case is a 66-year-old patient who had a radical prostatectomy in 2019 with a Gleason score 3+3 and 3+4.

With an increasingly aging population, both end-stage renal disease and peripheral artery disease become more prevalent. Peripheral artery disease is increasingly treated with endovascular procedures. Endovascular stenting of the external iliac artery (EIA) is often considered a contraindication for kidney transplantation, as clamping of the artery could result in possible injuring of the stent.

Intraluminal prosthetic graft thrombus (IPT) has been described in case of endovascular aortic pathology repair. This study aimed to assess hemodynamic indicators associated with various anatomical morphologies following endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), aiming to offer further references for the choice of clinical therapy. Six model models (normal, iliac compression, aortic compression, aortoiliac compression, iliac distortion, and long-leg stent) were established based on common anatomical morphologies following EVAR.

Purpose: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a severe complication following joint replacement surgery, and there is a current lack of rapid, accurate, and non-invasive diagnostic methods. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) to quantify the maximum long and short axes of the external iliac lymph nodes (LNs) as a diagnostic tool for PJI.

Patients And Methods: In this prospective controlled study, 112 patients undergoing total hip or total knee revision surgery were enrolled.
