It is commonly used for the management of conditions including stiff neck and back pain, thirst, diabetes, unresolved measles, external fever with headache, dysentery, diarrhea, dizziness and headache, stroke with hemiplegia, chest and heart pain, and alcohol poisoning.

Background: Prior to receiving their first dose of measles-containing vaccine, infants may be protected against infection either via antibodies obtained transplacentally from their mothers or by herd immunity. However, there is evidence that transplacental protection may wane well-before the age of first measles vaccination.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study of infants <12 months of age at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Ontario, and their mothers.

Background: Measles is a major public health concern that causes morbidity and mortality among children. In 2019, measles incidence reached its highest level in 23 years, with low measles containing vaccine dose one coverage playing a vital role. It can be prevented by two doses of the measles vaccine, either alone or in combination with measles-rubella (MR), which is a low-cost strategy for lowering morbidity and mortality among children.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and immunogenicity of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 in healthcare workers at one medical institution. The effectiveness of the MMR vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 was evaluated in overall healthcare workers (HCWs). In addition, neutralizing antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 were measured according to the subjects' measles immunity status with serum samples collected before the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic period.
