Magnesium phosphate grains, minor accessory minerals found on the primitive meteorite Yamato 980115 (Y 980115), were investigated by Raman microspectroscopy. All magnesium phosphate grains found in the present study can be assigned to farringtonite, dehydrated magnesium phosphate Mg(PO)-I. Since the Mg(PO)-I is generally formed via the irreversible thermal transition from the polymorphs of Mg(PO)-II and -III at above 750-800 degree Celsius, we can infer that the parent body of the Y 980115 meteorites experienced thermal alteration with such a high temperature.

In this work, the regulation of liquid self-transport is achieved through architectural and thermal coupling, transitioning from free surfaces to open channels. Hierarchical structures inspired by the skin of a Texas horned lizard are designed, with the primary structure of wedged grooves and the secondary structure of capillary crura. This design enables advantages including long-distance self-transport, liquid storage and active reflux management on free surfaces, directional transportation, synthesis and detection of reagents in confined spaces, as well as controllable motion and enhanced heat dissipation in open channels.

The development of advanced catalysts frequently employs trial-and-error methods and is lack of highly controlled synthesis, resulting in unsatisfactory development efficiency and performance. Here we propose a data-driven prediction coupled with precise synthesis strategy to accelerate the development of single-atom catalysts (SACs) for efficient water purification. The data-driven approach enables the rapid screening and prediction of high-performance SACs from 43 metals-N4 structures comprising transition and main group metal elements, followed by validation and structural modulation for improved performance through a highly controllable hard-template method.

Aims: Intraductal carcinoma (IDC) is an independent pathological parameter for adverse prostate cancer (PCa) outcome. Although most IDC are believed to originate from retrograde spread of established PCa, rare IDC cases may represent precursor lesions. The actual transition areas between intraductal and invasive cancer, however, have not yet been identified.

The battery market is primarily dominated by lithium technology, which faces severe challenges because of the low abundance and high cost of lithium metal. In this regard, multivalent metal-ion batteries (MVIBs) enabled by multivalent metal ions ( Zn, Mg, Ca, Al, ) have received great attention as an alternative to traditional lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion batteries) due to the high abundance and low cost of multivalent metals, high safety and higher volumetric capacities. However, the successful application of these battery chemistries requires careful control over electrode and electrolyte chemistries due to the higher charge density and slower kinetics of multivalent metal ions, structural instability of the electrode materials, and interfacial resistance, This review comprehensively explores the recent advancements in electrode and electrolyte materials as well as separators for MVIBs, highlighting the potential of MVIBs to outperform Li-ion batteries regarding cost, energy density and safety.
