Objective: Study the actual dosage of clinical prescription in pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and offer the consummate data for formulating the dosage standard of Chinese cut crude drug.
Method: We made use of the methods of stratified sampling and random sampling to investigate 38 736 broth prescriptions of pediatrics of TCM in 21 various hospitals, 18 provinces, and constructed the database, then applied Weka KDD software to analyze.
Result: We identified the frequency and clinical dosage intervals of 300 drugs, and the practical dosage of 155 drugs. Most of drug's dosage centralized the four intervals: (3-6], (6-9], (9-12], (12-15], and the concrete dosage were 6, 9, 10, 12, 15 g, etc.
Conclusion: The dosages in the pharmacopoeia are not coincided with the practical dosages in pediatrics, and demand to revise. This paper will offer the consummate data for formulating the new dosage standard.

Department of Critical Care Medicine, Shanghai East Hospital, School of Medicine, Tongji University, Shanghai, 200120, China. Electronic address:
Background: Disorders of the coagulation pathway are triggered in patients with severe burn and inhalation injuries in the early stages. There are multiple early coagulation indices identified to correlate with adverse outcomes.
Method: A retrospective analysis of patients with severe burn and inhalation injuries from 12 centers in mainland China was performed to identify early changed coagulation indices with predictive value associated with four major 28-day adverse outcomes (death, anticoagulation, mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy) by logistic regression.

To investigate anticoagulation effects of nafamostat mesylate(NM) in sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED) and its relevant factors. Critically ill patients with kidney disease who were admitted to Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University and underwent SLED treatment from May to August 2024 were retrospectively included. Baseline clinical data were collected, and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and activated clotting time (ACT) were measured at the arterial end, before the filter, and at the venous end two hours post-NM anticoagulation treatment.

Objective: Based on the findings of the KEYNOTE-048 study, pembrolizumab in combination with platinum and fluorouracil is the standard first-line treatment for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC). The efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab combined with nab-paclitaxel and platinum in such patients remain unexplored.
Methods: This single-arm phase 2 study enrolled patients with R/M HNSCC who received pembrolizumab (200 mg), nab-paclitaxel (260 mg/m²), and either cisplatin (75 mg/m²) or carboplatin [area under the curve (AUC) 5] every 21 d for up to six cycles, followed by pembrolizumab maintenance therapy.

Objective: Colorectal cancer (CRC) surgeries can be performed using either laparoscopic or open laparotomy approaches. However, the long-term outcomes based on tumor location and age remain unclear. This study compared the long-term outcomes of laparoscopic and laparotomy surgeries in patients with CRC, focusing on tumor location and age to identify suitable subgroups and determine an optimal cut-off age.

Background: Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) are novel inflammatory markers based on neutrophil, platelet and lymphocyte counts. Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory vascular disease. This study aimed to verify the predictive value of the clinical parameters such as systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) for the severity in Large Artery Atherosclerosis (LAA) stroke patients.
