Combination therapy, which involves using multiple therapeutic modalities simultaneously or sequentially, has become a cornerstone of modern cancer treatment. Graphene-based nanomaterials (GBNs) have emerged as versatile platforms for drug delivery, gene therapy, and photothermal therapy. These materials enable a synergistic approach, improving the efficacy of treatments while reducing side effects.

Intelligent soft robots that integrate both structural color and controllable actuation ability have attracted substantial attention for constructing biomimetic systems, biomedical devices, and soft robotics. However, simultaneously endowing single-layer cholesteric liquid crystal elastomer (CLCE) soft actuators with reversible 3D deformability and vivid structural color changes is still challenging. Herein, a multi-responsive (force, heat and light) single-layer 3D deformable soft actuator with vivid structural color-changing ability is realized through the reduced graphene oxide (RGO) deposition-induced Janus structure of the CLCE using a precisely-controlled evaporation method.

Background: Automatic sleep staging is essential for assessing sleep quality and diagnosing sleep disorders. While previous research has achieved high classification performance, most current sleep staging networks have only been validated in healthy populations, ignoring the impact of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) on sleep stage classification. In addition, it remains challenging to effectively improve the fine-grained detection of polysomnography (PSG) and capture multi-scale transitions between sleep stages.

Optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are gaining attention as a robust security solution for identification in the expanding Internet of Things (IoT). To enhance the security and functionality of PUFs, integrating multiple optical responses─such as fluorescence and structural color─into a single system is essential. These diverse optical properties enable multilevel authentication, where different layers of security can be verified under varying light conditions, greatly reducing the risk of counterfeiting.

The segmentation of the retinogeniculate visual pathway (RGVP) enables quantitative analysis of its anatomical structure. Multimodal learning has exhibited considerable potential in segmenting the RGVP based on structural MRI (sMRI) and diffusion MRI (dMRI). However, the intricate nature of the skull base environment and the slender morphology of the RGVP pose challenges for existing methodologies to adequately leverage the complementary information from each modality.
