In this preliminary study, we discuss 9 cases of Candidosis diagnosed during a 6 month period in 32 AIDS patients hospitalized in three health Centers in Yaoundé. Most of the patients presented with buccal candidosis and/or dysphagia. Of the 18 strains grown, 17 (94%) are Candida albicans.

Background And Purpose: infections in India have shifted, with an increase in the incidence rate of invasive candidiasis, particularly due to non- species. The central nervous system infections by are sparsely reported and more understanding and research is needed regarding these infections.
Case Report: This study reported an unusual case of meningitis in a middle-aged female with pulmonary tuberculosis and newly diagnosed acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with a low cluster of differentiation 4 count (12 cells/mm).

Fungal infections have become a growing public health concern, aggravated by the emergence of new pathogenic species and increasing resistance to antifungal drugs. The most common candidiasis is caused by ; however, has become an emerging opportunistic pathogen, and although less prevalent, it can cause superficial and systemic infections, especially in immunocompromised individuals. This yeast can colonize the oral cavity, skin, and other tissues, and has been associated with oral infections in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), making it difficult to treat.

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) remains the most common opportunistic infection and leading cause of death among individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia. Its significant impact on morbidity and mortality underscores the crucial link between these two diseases. While the advent of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has led to a dramatic decline in mortality rates among HIV/AIDS patients, TB continues to pose a substantial threat.

Background: Disease-modifying anti-rheumatoid drugs (DMARDs) and biological therapies are known to alter immune function, which may increase the risk of oral infections and mucosal changes. Immunosuppression induced by these medications can make patients more susceptible to conditions like oral candidiasis. Furthermore, there is limited research exploring the long-term oral health outcomes associated with these treatments, particularly in rheumatologic patients who are already at a higher risk of systemic inflammation.
