Objective: To evaluate the electrocardiographic (ECG) characteristics and results of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia or premature ventricular contractions (VT/PVCs) originating in the vicinity of atrioventricular annulus.
Methods: Nineteen patients with idiopathic VT/PVCs underwent conventional electrophysiological study and RFCA were included in this analysis. The 12 leads (ECG) characteristics were also analyzed.
Results: The VT/PVCs were originated in the vicinity of mitral annulus in 10 cases, including anterolateral (n = 5), posterolateral (n = 3) and posteroseptal (n = 2). The VT/PVCs were originated in the vicinity of tricuspid annulus in the rest 9 cases, including the free wall (n = 5) and the septal portion (n = 4). The 12-lead ECG patterns of VT/PVCs originating in the vicinity of atrioventricular annulus were helpful for determine the site of RFCA. The VT/PVCs were successfully eliminated by RFCA in all cases.
Conclusion: The exact origin of VT/PVCs originating in the vicinity of atrioventricular annulus could be determined by 12-leads ECG analysis and can be successfully and safely cured by RFCA.

In recent decades, the study of heavy metal pollution has garnered significant attention owing to the advancement of industrialization. To explore the contamination of heavy metals in an intensive industrial and agricultural region in Shandong province, China, 101 surface soil samples and 80 samples of edible crop parts were collected from the vicinity of an industrial park. A positive matrix factorization-multilayer perceptron model (PMF-MLP) was established to identify the sources of heavy metals and quantify the complex relationships between pollution sources, crop types, and pollution status.

In this study, we examine the three-dimensional chiral optical field in the vicinity of a gold nanoplate using aperture-type scanning near-field optical microscopy. Near-field imaging indicates that the chiral optical field shows a unique spatial distribution and depends on the incident polarization. We also evaluate the modal dependence of chiral optical fields, which reveals that the plasmon mode with E symmetry contributes substantially to the chiral optical field while that with A symmetry contributes little because of the high spatial symmetry.

Circularly polarized light (CPL) is inherently chiral and is regarded as one possible source for the origin of homochirality. Coincidentally, chiral metal nanoparticles have great prospects in asymmetric photochemical reactions since they can enhance the chiral light-matter interactions. Nonetheless, little is known about how the spin angular momentum of light competes with the chiral electromagnetic field in the vicinity of a chiral nanoparticle during the chiral induction and amplification process.

Glass fragments (16 green glasses and 2 red glasses) were handpicked from crushed Trinitite. X-ray diffraction studies revealed that these samples were essentially pure glass with the exception of minor amounts (less than 4 wt%) of quartz (which acts as a diluent) in some samples. The concentrations of 45 elements in the Trinity glasses were determined using Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis.

Due to limited spawning seasons, embryogenesis of corals has not fully been studied and the embryonic origin of gastrodermis remains uncertain in . We herein examined how embryonic endodermal cells develop into the gastrodermis and mesentery of polyps in . In juvenile polyps, the gastrodermis invaginates to form mesenteries, both of which were stained with rhodamine-phalloidin, an anti-myocyte-specific enhancer factor 2 (anti-AtMef2) antibody, and an anti-lipoxygenase homology domain-containing protein 1 (anti-AtLoxhd1) antibody.
