Total femoral replacement (TFR) is not a common surgery and most indications are for oncological pathologies. However, there are few instances where non-oncological indications might necessitate TFR; this may be a salvage surgery for failed previous hip and/or knee surgeries with consequent significant femur bone loss. Background: Gait analyses in clinical populations must be considered differently, as variation in measurements may be related to the clinical condition and not just factors of interest. However, measurements taken from gait also have natural variability and this variability is further compounded when multiple factors may be of clinical interest.
Research Question: Do current methods properly assign and quantify the amount of variability in gait data?
Methods: Simulated data were utilized to identify subject and therapist effects using multiple gait trials; data were simulated with and without multiple sessions with therapists.

Background: There is limited literature available that provide information about fixation methods for minimally invasive hallux valgus osteotomies. Our objective was to evaluate the strength of different fixation methods for a percutaneous extracapsular transverse cervical metatarsal (PTCM) osteotomy in a sawbone model.
Methods: Thirty solid foam sawbone foot models were used.

Background: Primary progressive aphasia (PPA) is a neurodegenerative syndrome characterized by progressive language deficits. The main variants of PPA -semantic (svPPA), logopenic (lvPPA), and nonfluent (nfvPPA)- can be challenging to distinguish. Limb apraxia often co-occurs with PPA, but it is unclear whether PPA variants are associated with different gesture deficits.
