Dehydration was accompanied by cell changes in solitary lymphoid nodules and Peyer's patches. The proportion between lymphocytes, macrophages, and mast cells in lymphoid organs depended on the stage of dehydration. The inhibition of cell mitoses, disappearance of mature plasma cells and mast cells (per field of view), significant decrease in lymphocyte count, 4-5-fold increase in the number of destructive cells, and low density of cells and lymphatic network of the small intestine (per unit area) were observed on days 6 and 10 of dehydration. Severe morphological changes were also revealed in other layers of the small intestinal wall (mucosa, submucosa, lamina propria, etc.).

Angiosarcomas are a type of soft-tissue sarcoma characterized by aggressive malignant tumors originating from endothelial cells of blood vessels or lymphatic vessels. Limited studies have been done to explore the molecular pathophysiology of the disease, with rather limited studies involving transcriptomic analyzes. This study was undertaken to identify the shared molecular signatures and gene modules associated with angiosarcomas of various origin.

In the musculoskeletal system, lymphatic vessels (LVs), which are interdigitated with blood vessels, travel and form an extensive transport network. Blood vessels in bone regulate osteogenesis and hematopoiesis, however, whether LVs in bone affect fracture healing is unclear. Here, we investigate the lymphatic draining function at the tibial fracture sites using near-infrared indocyanine green lymphatic imaging (NIR-ICG) and discover that lymphatic drainage insufficiency (LDI) starts on day one and persists for up to two weeks following the fracture in male mice.

Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) is a lymphatic cancer of steadily growing incidence. Its diagnostic and follow-up rely on the analysis of clinical biomarkers and 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-PET/CT images. In this context, we target the problem of assisting in the early identification of high-risk DLBCL patients from both images and tabular clinical data.

Purpose Of Review: The role of the lymphatic system in clearing extravasated fluids, lipid transport, and immune surveillance is well established, and lymphatic vasculature can provide a vital role in facilitating crosstalk among various organ systems. Lymphatic vessels rely on intrinsic and local factors to absorb and propel lymph from the interstitium back to the systemic circulation. The biological implications of local influences on lymphatic vessels are underscored by the exquisite sensitivity of these vessels to environmental stimuli.
