Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second and third leading cause of cancer death in men and women respectively worldwide. Colonoscopy is the gold standard screening test to detect premalignant lesions with endoscopic polypectomy preventing evolution to CRC. Endoscopic polypectomy is effective with a higher safety profile and is less costly as compared to surgery.

It is crucial to reconstruct extensive soft tissue defects following oral cancer resection to restore both function and aesthetics. Single anterolateral thigh flaps may not suffice for large defects. This report highlights the use of chimeric flaps, which feature multiple paddles with individual perforators, to reconstruct large intraoral and extraoral defects, adapting to wide defects, and covering areas with extensive tissue damage.

Purpose: To investigate the feasibility and initial results of superior (SRA) and middle (MRA) rectal artery embolization for patients with symptomatic hemorrhoidal disease.
Materials And Methods: Prospective, single-center cohort that included ten consecutive patients (Goligher classification was II in 70% and III in 30%.) who underwent SRA and MRA embolization using a combination of microspheres and metallic coils, who completed a follow-up period of 12 months.

Submicron particulate matter (PM) can penetrate deeply into human tissue, posing a serious threat to human health. However, the electrostatic charge of commercial respirators is easily dissipated, making it difficult to maintain long-term filtration. Herein, a hierarchically porous filter based on nanofibers with accessible porosity and particulate-attractive surfaces, achieving significant filtration performance is developed through polarity-driven interactions.

Deep inferior epigastric artery perforator flap reconstruction is a common technique for breast reconstruction surgery in cancer patients. Preoperative planning typically depends on radiological reports and 2D images to help surgeons locate abdominal perforator vessels before surgery. Here, BREAST+, an augmented reality interface for the HoloLens 2, designed to facilitate accurate marking of perforator locations on the patients' skin and to seamlessly access relevant clinical data in the operating room is proposed.
