Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC) is an intractable malignant tumor originates in the secretory glands and frequently metastasizes to the lungs. Hybrid epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) cells within the tumors are correlated with augmented proliferative capacity and facilitation of lung metastasis. Single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomic sequencing are employed to reveal the hybrid EMT subsets within the vascular fibroblast microenvironment.

Introduction: Mucinous appendiceal neoplasms are unique tumors in which >50 % of the tumor volume is composed of extracellular mucin. They may present as an unruptured mucin-filled appendix or, more commonly, with peritoneal metastases after rupture or transmural invasion of the primary tumor. This case report describes a case of presumed ovarian malignancy with final pathologic diagnosis of low grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm.

Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC) tends to metastasize to the lungs in the early stages of the disease. Factors secreted by the primary tumor can induce the formation of a supportive microenvironment in distant organs prior to metastasis, a process known as pre-metastatic niche (PMN) formation. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) participate in PMN formation.

Background: Treating patients with head and neck adenoid cystic carcinoma (HNACC) presents surgical problems in various scenarios. Limited studies explore definitive radiation's impact on patient survival, with inadequate data correlating it to postoperative radiotherapy. Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program, we conducted an objective analysis to evaluate the impact of definitive radiation on the survival of HNACC patients without distant metastases, aiming to uncover its nuanced pros and cons.

Introduction: Recurrent or metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the head and neck is rare and highly aggressive. Due to the ineffectiveness of immune checkpoint therapies, this study aims to investigate the tumor immune microenvironment of primary tumor tissues and lung metastatic tissues and to comprehend the challenges of immunotherapy.
Methods: We analyzed RNA sequencing data and constructed immune landscapes from 25 primary tumors and 34 lung metastases.
