The repetitive observations of satellites provide rich multi-temporal information for coastal remote sensing, making it possible to improve the accuracy of bathymetric inversion through multi-temporal satellite data. This study takes Culebra, Puerto Rico, as the study area and attempts multi-temporal bathymetric inversion using 193 Sentinel-2 images and eight tracks of ICESat-2 ATL03 data. Two widely used machine-learning models, CatBoost and Random Forest (RF), were employed to construct bathymetric inversion models, and the Fusion followed by Inversion (FI) strategy and inversion followed by Fusion (IF) strategy were also compared.

The accumulation of construction solid waste (CSW) leads to the waste of land resources and environmental pollution, becoming a significant social problem. Identifying the amount of high-value CSW is essential for assessing the value of accumulated CSW and formulating appropriate recycling strategies. With the development of machine learning technology, CSW recognition techniques combining image acquisition devices and convolutional neural networks have been widely applied.

We propose a double-cavity optomechanical system with nonreciprocal coupling to realize tunable optical nonreciprocity that has the prospect of making an optical device for the manipulation of information processing and communication. Here we investigate the steady-state dynamic processes of the double-cavity system and the transmission of optical waves from opposite cavity directions. The transmission spectrum of the probe field is presented in detail and the physical mechanism of the induced transparency window is analyzed.

School of Optoelectronic Engineering and Instrumentation Science, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, Liaoning 116024, China.

A highly sensitive trace gas sensing system based on carbon black absorption enhanced photoacoustic (PA) spectroscopy (PAS) is reported. A carbon black sheet and a fiber-optic cantilever microphone (FOCM) are integrated to form a fiber-optic cantilever spectrophone (FOCS). The gas concentration is obtained by measuring the acoustic wave amplitude generated by the carbon black sheet, which absorbs the laser passing through the interest gas.

Objective: We conducted a systematic scoping review to characterize the landscape of communication scholarship within racial health equity in and through the patient-provider interaction.

Methods: We employed three waves of data collection to identify relevant articles (N = 454) about racial equity within provider-patient interactions. We iteratively developed a codebook concerning article characteristics, coding for journal names, data source, descriptive characteristics for the study samples, and presence of theory and equity in sections of the manuscripts.
