Lithium iron arsenide phases with compositions close to LiFeAs exhibit superconductivity at temperatures at least as high as 16 K, demonstrating that superconducting [FeAs](-) anionic layers with the anti-PbO structure type occur in at least three different structure types and with a wide range of As-Fe-As bond angles.

Concurrent superconductivity and negative photoconductivity (NPC) are rarely observed. Here, the discovery in PbSeTe of superconductivity and photoconductivity transitions between positive photoconductivity (PPC) and NPC during compression is reported to ≈40 GPa and subsequent decompression, which are also accompanied by reversible structure transitions (3D Fm m ⇌ 2D Pnma ⇌ 3D Pm m). Superconductivity with a maximum T of ≈6.

Shear mode ultrasonic waves are in high demand for structural health monitoring (SHM) applications owing to their nondispersive characteristics, singular mode, and minimal energy loss, especially in harsh environments. However, the generation and detection of a pure shear wave using conventional piezoelectric materials present substantial challenges because of their complex piezoelectric response, involving multiple modes. Herein, we introduce a high-quality piezoelectric crystal BiSiO (BSO), exhibiting a robust piezoelectric response ( = 45.

Weyl semimetals are a novel class of topological materials with unique electronic structures and distinct properties. HfRhGe stands out as a noncentrosymmetric Weyl semimetal with unconventional superconducting characteristics. Using muon-spin rotation and relaxation (µSR) spectroscopy and thermodynamic measurements, a fully gapped superconducting state is identified in HfRhGe that breaks time-reversal symmetry at the superconducting transition.

Many-body interactions in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are fundamental for emergent quantum physics. Unlike their solution counterpart, magnetization at surfaces in low-dimensional analogues is strongly influenced by magnetic anisotropy (MA) induced by the substrate and still not well understood. Here, on-surface coordination chemistry is used to synthesize on Ag(111) and superconducting Pb(111) an iron-based spin chain by using pyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone (PTO) precursors as ligands.

We present a high-resolution single crystal x-ray diffraction study of kagome superconductor CsV_{3}Sb_{5}, exploring its response to variations in pressure and temperature. We discover that at low temperatures, the structural modulations of the electronic superlattice, commonly associated with charge-density-wave order, undergo a transformation around p∼0.7 GPa from the familiar 2×2 pattern to a long-range-ordered modulation at wave vector q=(0,3/8,1/2).
