Consistent contraceptive use (CCU) is an important public health intervention for the prevention and spread of STIs, as well as unintended pregnancies and abortions, especially among female sex workers (FSWs). This study determines the prevalence and identifies factors influencing CCU among FSWs in The Gambia. Utilizing a cross-sectional study design with a snowball sampling technique, respondents were recruited from various locations within the Greater Banjul Area.

Objectives: The study aimed to assess the prevalence of reproductive health problems among youths and the utilisation of services and associated factors in urban Ethiopia.
Design: This paper presents findings related to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) based on a formative assessment of the Integrated Youth Activity which is conducted by cross-sectional study.
Setting: Youths from community and higher education institutions were included from 13 major urban towns of Ethiopia in the study.

While its prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa is high, intimate partner violence (IPV) is rarely reported during routine index case testing (ICT) services in Malawi. We retrospectively explored the occurrence of IPV in a large, PEPFAR-supported HIV care and treatment program, among people with HIV (PWH) who had previously accessed ICT services. Between July-August 2022, we enrolled PWH aged ≥18 years, at 15 health facilities, who had received ICT services as new ART-initiators <6 months ago.

Pharmacotherapy during pregnancy requires a better understanding of the impact of changes in maternal physiology on the maternal and fetal drug exposure. The physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling approach can be applied to predict maternal and fetal exposure. In vitro and in vivo PK data in non-pregnant individuals were compiled and used to develop and verify a PBPK model for tenofovir.
