Aim: Case reports (CRs) are often the first publication of a new treatment, but randomized clinical trials (RCTs) are needed to confirm the data. The aim of this study was to evaluate how many therapies published as CRs were followed by RCTs of these therapies over a 20-year period.
Material And Methods: Two researchers conducted a search through international periodontal journals and found the CRs on periodontal treatments published from 1984 to 1986. Subsequent electronic searches made it possible to verify how many of the treatments published as CRs were also investigated through RCTs over the following 20 years.
Results: Thirty-one different therapies were selected out of the 33 published CRs; 15 (48%) of these 31 treatments were investigated by RCTs over the next 20 years.
Conclusions: As 52% of the CRs were not validated by RCTs, practitioners should view their results with caution.

Biliary atresia (BA) is a progressive hepatobiliary disease in infants, leading to liver failure and the need for transplantation. While its etiopathogenesis remains unclear, recent studies suggest primary cilia (PC) disruption plays a role. This study investigates correlations between PC and cytoplasmic tubulin (TUBA4A) alterations with hypoxia in patients with the isolated form of BA, focusing on native liver survival.

Introduction: CD7 chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T cell) therapy is an emerging method for treating hematological malignancies, and is another breakthrough in CAR-T cell therapy.
Methods: This study summarizes the currently published clinical research results on CD7 CAR-T cells and evaluates the safety and effectiveness of CD7 CAR-T cell therapy.
Results: Among the 13 studies included in this study, a total of 200 patients received CD7 CAR-T cell therapy, including 88 patients who received autologous CAR-T cells, 112 patients who received donor derived CAR-T cells.

Angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors (ARNIs) represent a novel class of medications characterized by their dual action on major cardiorenal regulators, specifically the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) and the natriuretic peptide (NP) system. Sacubitril/valsartan, a pioneering ARNI, has demonstrated strong antihypertensive effect as well as superior efficacy in preserving renal function compared to RAS inhibitors in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction. Here, we gathered evidence on the impact of sacubitril/valsartan on the preservation of kidney function in patients with cardiorenal syndrome (CRS).

Purpose Of Review: This paper reviewed the current literature on incidence, clinical manifestations, and risk factors of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) cardiotoxicity.
Recent Findings: CAR-T therapy has emerged as a groundbreaking treatment for hematological malignancies since FDA approval in 2017. CAR-T therapy is however associated with a few side effects, among which cardiotoxicity is of significant concern.
