Objective: To investigate the effect of fructose-1,6-diphosphete(FDP) on myocardial preservation in pulmonary operations.
Methods: One hundred and six patients undergoing selective pulmonary lobectomy or segmentectomy were randomly divided into 2 groups with 53 patients each. FDP 200 mg/kg was infused intravenously before anesthesia in the FDP group, while 5% glucose with the same volume was given instead of FDP in the control group. ECGs were monitored from before the anesthesia to 72 h after the operation;the time and type of arrhythmia were recorded. Blood samples were taken before the operation (T0), immediately after the operation(T1), at 24 h(T2),48 h(T3)and 72 h(T(4)) after the operation to determine plasma creatine kinase isoenzyme MB(CK-MB) and cardiac troponin I(cTnI) concentrations.
Results: The incidence of arrhythmia in FDP group (35 times) was significantly lower than that in the control group(67 times). The incidence of all types of arrhythmia in the FDP group was also significantly lower than that in the control group. The concentrations of CK-MB and cTnI in the FDP group were significantly lower than those in the control group at T1, T2, T3, and T4.
Conclusion: FDP is effective for myocardial preservation in pulmonary operations.

This study analyzes the prognostic factors of thrombosis in patients with hematological diseases after peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) surgery. We conducted a retrospective analysis of 223 patients with hematological diseases who underwent PICC catheterization between January 2017 and June 2021. These patients were categorized into the thrombotic group and non-thrombotic group based on the occurrence of thrombosis following PICC catheterization.

Objectives: A new abutment-free implant connection allows for direct screwing of FDPs on implants to avoid complications caused by cement rests or screw loosening, which may affect to screw torque and load distribution. The objective of this study was to test the initial (Fi) and final failure (Ff) loads and torque changes of abutment-free monolithic zirconia CAD-CAM fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) compared to titanium FDPs on different abutment designs.
Methods: Three-unit screw-retained FDPs (n = 50) on two implants (n = 100) were divided into groups (n = 10) based on the implant-abutment connection and material of the supra-structure: (1) abutment-free monolithic CAD-CAM zirconia FDP (Abut-free-Zr), (2) abutment-free veneered titanium FDPs (Abut-free-Ti), (3) monolithic zirconia FDPs with titanium base abutments (Zr-Ti-Base), (4) monolithic zirconia FDPs on multi-unit abutments (Zr-MU), (5) veneered titanium FDP on multi-unit abutments (Ti-MU).

In ulnar neuropathy at the elbow (UNE), the degree of neuropathic changes, the sensitivity of needle electromyography (EMG) in individual ulnar muscles, and the utility of individual EMG parameters are controversial. I compared qualitative needle EMG findings in two ulnar-innervated hands muscles and two ulnar-innervated forearm muscles in a group of previously reported UNE patients. Altogether, 170 UNE patients (175 arms) were studied.

As the burden of Alzheimer's disease (AD) escalates with an ageing population, the demand for early and accessible diagnostic methods becomes increasingly urgent. Saliva, with its non-invasive and cost-effective nature, presents a promising alternative to cerebrospinal fluid and plasma for biomarker discovery. : In this study, we conducted a comprehensive multi-omics analysis of saliva samples ( = 20 mild cognitive impairment (MCI), = 20 Alzheimer's disease and age- and = 40 gender-matched cognitively normal individuals), from the South Australian Neurodegenerative Disease (SAND) cohort, integrating proteomics, metabolomics, and microbiome data with plasma measurements, including pTau181.

Background: To explore the correlation between the levels of D-dimer (D-D), fibrinogen (FIB), fibrinogen degradation products (FDP) and platelets (PLT) in peripheral blood of patients with lower limb fractures and the formation of deep vein thrombosis in lower limbs, and to establish a new thrombosis prediction model for patients with lower limb fractures.
Methods: The patients were divided into DVT group and non DVT group according to whether there was deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremity. The differences in the levels of D-D, FIB, FDP and platelets between the two groups were analyzed and compared.
