Sunitinib is an orally administered small molecule that was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in January 2006 as monotherapy for the treatment of patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor after disease progression on or intolerance to imatinib mesylate. Data pooled from multiple sunitinib dose-escalation trials showed that sunitinib is associated with various adverse events, with HFSR occurring in up to 20% of patients. We describe a 48-year-old woman with a history of metastatic colorectal cancer treated with single-agent sunitinib who developed pain and tenderness in areas of friction secondary to Blackberry use, and was diagnosed with trauma-induced hand-foot skin reaction (HFSR) secondary to sunitinib therapy.

Background: Regorafenib, approved in China for the third-line treatment of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), targets multiple tyrosine kinases. We retrospectively evaluated the efficacy and safety of regorafenib, both as monotherapy and in combination with capecitabine or immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), as a second-line treatment for patients unable to access hospital-based care due to limited hospital visits during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Methods: Retrospective analysis was conducted on individual patient data from Peking University Third Hospital, covering the period from January 2020 to September 2023.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform and UniProt Database were used to obtain the active ingredients and target proteins of Spatholobi Caulis. All hand-foot skin reaction (HFSR)-related targets were obtained with the help of the Human Gene Database, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Humans (OMIM), DisGeNET and DrugBank databases.

Objective: This study explored the surgical technique and clinical application of the dorsal metacarpal cutaneous branch flap of the radial digital artery of the index finger.
Methods: Through the anatomical dissection of 10 hand specimens, we examined the origin and characteristics of the artery and its branches towards the hand dorsum. Furthermore, the soft tissue defects of the index finger in 12 patients admitted to our hospital between 2017 and 2021 were surgically repaired using the dorsal metacarpal cutaneous branch flap of the radial digital artery of the index finger.
