Background: Mobile Health Clinics (MHCs) are an alternate form of healthcare delivery that may ameliorate current rural-urban health disparities in chronic diseases and have downstream impacts on the health system by reducing costs. Evaluations of providers' time allocation on MHCs are scarce, hindering knowledge transfer related to MHC implementation strategies.

Methods: Retrospective economic cost was assessed using business ledgers and expert assessments in 2023 US Dollar (USD) from 2022 to 2023.

Zwitterionic Poly(ethylene glycol) Nanoparticles Minimize Protein Adsorption and Immunogenicity for Improved Biological Fate.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Colloid and Interface Chemistry of the Ministry of Education, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong 250100, China.

We report the assembly of poly(ethylene glycol) nanoparticles (PEG NPs) and optimize their surface chemistry to minimize the formation of protein coronas and immunogenicity for improved biodistribution. PEG NPs cross-linked with disulfide bonds are synthesized utilizing zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 NPs as the templates, which are subsequently modified with PEG molecules with different end groups (carboxyl, methoxy, or amino) to vary the surface chemistry. Among the modifications, the amino and residual carboxyl groups form a pair of zwitterionic structures on the surface of PEG NPs, which minimize the adsorption of proteins (e.

Ether bond-modified lipid nanoparticles for enhancing the treatment effect of hepatic fibrosis.

Int J Pharm

January 2025

National Advanced Medical Engineering Research Center, China State Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry, 285 Gebaini Road, Shanghai 201203, China. Electronic address:

Lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-mediated RNA delivery holds significant potential for the treatment of various liver diseases. Ionizable lipids play a crucial role in the formulation of LNPs and directly influence their delivery efficiency. In this study, we introduced an innovative concept by incorporating an ether bond into the hydrophobic tail of ionizable lipids for the first time.

In task-shared, mental health, and psychosocial support interventions, monitoring the quality of delivery (fidelity and competence) of nonspecialist providers is critical. Quality of delivery is frequently reported in brief, summary statistics, and while both fidelity and competence scores tend to be high, rarely have factors associated with quality of delivery in low-resource, mental health, and psychosocial support interventions been examined using inferential statistics. Understanding both modifiable and non-modifiable predictors of quality of delivery is important for adapting training and supervision approaches throughout intervention delivery.
