Chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) is one of the most common forms of cerebrovascular disease, which affects a significant number of patients, often leading to disability, cognitive impairment and dementia. The analysis of modern data on the pathogenesis and risk factors for the development of CCI, as well as on the mechanisms of action of Mexidol on various links in the pathogenesis of CCI. A systematic search was conducted in the PubMed, MEDLINE and Google Scholar databases, on Russian and English-language sites with open access publications on the problem of CCI and on the drug Mexidol in the period from 2014 to 2024.

Conflict-affected regions face severe reproductive health challenges that disproportionately impact adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and children, who are especially vulnerable due to the breakdown of healthcare systems and limited access to essential services. AGYW are at heightened risk due to restricted access to family planning, prenatal care, and emergency obstetric services, while children face malnutrition, disease outbreaks, and developmental delays. These challenges have profound long-term consequences for both their physical and psychological well-being.

Breast ultrasound is recommended for early breast cancer detection in China, but the rapid increase in imaging data burdens sonographers. This study evaluated the agreement between artificial intelligence (AI) software and sonographers in analyzing breast nodule features. Breast ultrasound images from two hospitals in Shanghai were analyzed by both the software and the sonographers for features including echotexture, echo pattern, orientation, shape, margin, calcification, and posterior echo attenuation.

Chronic stress can adversely affect the female reproductive endocrine system, potentially leading to disorders and impairments in ovarian function. However, current research lacks comprehensive understanding regarding the biochemical characteristics and underlying mechanisms of ovarian damage induced by chronic stress. The high mortality rate in severe hemorrhages managed with this strategy endorsed the need for a special resuscitation plan. As a result, modifications were recommended to develop a new clinical approach to these patients, called "Damage Control Resuscitation".
