A novel series of butadiene-imide 1 (T-686) derivatives having an inhibitory activity against PAI-1 production was synthesized and evaluated their biological activities and DMPK profiles, in which 15k (T-2639) was selected as the best compound based on its strong antithrombotic activity and good bioavailability.

Background: V617F-mutated myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) exhibit abnormal proliferation of bone marrow progenitors and increased risk of thrombosis, specifically in splanchnic veins (SVT). The contribution of the endothelium to the development of the prothrombotic phenotype was explored.
Material And Methods: Plasma and serum samples from V617F MPN patients with (n=26) or without (n=7) thrombotic debut and different treatments, were obtained (n=33).

An optimized version of alteplase, tenecteplase, has been developed by exchanging six amino acids to increase half-life, achieve higher fibrin selectivity and increase resistance to plasminogen activator inhibitor-1. Background: Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, a traditional Chinese herb, is known for its various biological effects, including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and antitumor properties. However, the function and mechanisms of methanol extract of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (MESB) in treating hepatic fibrosis remain unclear.
Methods: This study utilized a CCl4-induced mouse model of hepatic fibrosis to assess the effects of MESB through histopathological analysis and serum tests.

Objective: Our study successfully developed an assay kit for thrombin-antithrombin complex (TAT) and demonstrated the predictive value of plasma TAT concentration in the development of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with cervical cancer.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 177 patients with cervical cancer who received treatment at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University in Wuxi City from July 1, 2023 to October 1, 2023. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of cervical cancer patients and their VTE risk factors.

We measured high mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) and platelet-derived microparticles (PDMP) in blood samples from patients with untreated type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). We examined the effects of a combination of sodium/glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. Multiple regression analysis of HMGB1 was conducted on data from 252 patients in our previously reported T2DM-related clinical study.
