Introduction: Unplanned, delayed readmissions (>30 ds) following oncologic surgeries can increase mortality and care costs and affect hospital quality indices. However, there is a dearth of literature on rectal cancer surgery. Hence, we aimed to assess the risk factors associated with delayed readmissions following rectal cancer surgery to improve targeted interventions, patient outcomes, and quality indices.

Background: Research into the intratumoral microenvironment in lymphoma has been escalated along with improved survival and new targeted therapies with an intent to refine risk stratification and prognostication. Various studies have reported significance of quantitative DCE-MRI parameters for predicting biological behaviour of various tumors. This study is an endeavour to supplement the existing literature on quantitative DCE-MRI in nodal lymphoma.

Brain imaging data is one of the primary predictors for assessing the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study aims to extract image-based features associated with the possibly right-censored time-to-event outcomes and to improve predictive performance. While the functional proportional hazards model is well-studied in the literature, these studies often do not consider the existence of patients who have a very low risk and are approximately insusceptible to AD.

Ischemic stroke is a worldwide disease with high mortality and morbidity. Kv7/KCNQ channels are key modulators of neuronal excitability and microglia function, and activation of Kv7/KCNQ channels has emerged as a potential therapeutic avenue for ischemic stroke. In the present study, we focused on a new Kv7/KCNQ channel opener QO-83 on the stroke outcomes and its therapeutic potential.
