Respiratory motion is a source of degradation in positron emission tomography. As the patients cannot hold breath during the PET acquisition, spatial blurring and motion artifacts are unavoidable which may lead to wrong quantification of the data. A solution based on respiratory-gating and optical flow based correction of the PET data is proposed. This includes deformation of the CT data for accurate attenuation and listmode based reconstruction. All methods are applied to real patient data and are evaluated with respect to three criteria.

Background: Studies regarding hypercoagulation in Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION) patients have produced conflicting results. With a presumption that the early coagulation phase may affect the occurrence of NAION, this study aims to investigate the early coagulation markers, E-selectin and P-selectin, to determine whether these biomolecular changes play a significant role in NAION, thus potentially leading to a better clinical approach.
Methods: A cross-sectional study involving two groups of NAION subjects, a hypercoagulation group and a non-hypercoagulation group, was conducted in the Neuro-Ophthalmology Division, Department of Ophthalmology, FKUI-RSCM Kirana from October 2020 to April 2022.

This paper presents an approach for event recognition in sequential images using human body part features and their surrounding context. Key body points were approximated to track and monitor their presence in complex scenarios. Various feature descriptors, including MSER (Maximally Stable Extremal Regions), SURF (Speeded-Up Robust Features), distance transform, and DOF (Degrees of Freedom), were applied to skeleton points, while BRIEF (Binary Robust Independent Elementary Features), HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradients), FAST (Features from Accelerated Segment Test), and Optical Flow were used on silhouettes or full-body points to capture both geometric and motion-based features.
