A spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of iron(III)-dimethyldithiocarbamate (ferbam) by concerting it into an iron(III)-9-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2,3,7-trihydroxyl-6-fluorone complex. In NH(3)-HAc buffer solution (pH 6.5), the reagent reacts with ferbam to form a blue complex with a maximum absorption peak at 640nm. The reaction can be completed rapidly at room temperature and the absorbance is stable for at least 24h. The apparent molar absorption coefficient, Sandell's sensitivity of the complex, the detection limit and the relative standard deviation were found to be 1.06x10(5)lmol(-1)cm(-1), 3.9ngcm(-2), 2.2ngml(-1) and 1.06%, respectively. From 0 to 75mug of ferbam in 25ml solution the absorbance obeyed Beer's law. The effect of foreign ions and other dithiocarbamates were also studied in detail. The results indicated that all coexisting ions examined can be tolerated in considerable amounts, especially other dithiocarbamates such as ziram and zineb, which always interfere with the determination of ferbam in the literature. The proposed method is very sensitive, selective and simple, it has been applied to determine ferbam in commercial samples.

The accurate estimation of the temperature distribution of the GaN based power devices and optimization of the device structure is of great significance to possibly solve the self-heating problem, which hinders the further enhancement of the device performances. We present here the operando temperature measurement with high spatial resolution using Raman spectroscopy of AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) with different device structures and explore the optimization of the device thermal design accordingly. The lateral and depth temperature distributions of the single-finger HEMT were characterized.

Objective: This ancillary study's purpose is to describe the relationship between dose of treatment and body mass index (BMI) outcomes in a tele-behavioral health program delivered in the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network to children and their families living in rural communities.

Methods: Participants randomized to the intervention were able to receive 26 contact hours (15 hr of group sessions and 11 hr of individual sessions) of material focused on nutrition, physical activity, and behavioral caregiver training delivered via interactive televideo. Dose of the intervention received by child/caregiver dyads (n = 52) from rural areas was measured as contact hours.

Characterization and formation of the biomineral aragonite structures of the Noah's Ark shell ( L.,1758) were studied from structural, morphogenetic, and biochemical points of view. Structural and morphological features were examined using X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy, while thermal properties were determined by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses.

Background: In difficult colorectal cases, surgeons may opt for a hand-assisted laparoscopic (HALS) colectomy or attempt a laparoscopic surgery that may require an unplanned conversion to open (LCOS). We aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of these 2 types of surgeries.

Methods: Colectomies for acute diverticulitis with a HALS or LCOS surgery were selected from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) 2022 Targeted Colectomy Database.
