A method is described for the amperometric titration of nickel and successive amperometric determination of copper and nickel. Nickel (1.0-16.0 mg) and copper (1.0-11.0 mg) could be determined with an average error of less than 1%. Cobalt interferes but chloride does not. Interference by aluminium, iron(III) and chromium can be eliminated. Zinc and manganese do not interfere if the correct applied voltage is chosen. The procedures can be utilized in the analysis of alloys such as nichrome, Raney nickel, constantan, german silver and manganin. It is best to use the standard addition method for less than 3 mg of nickel.

We developed a reversed-phased high-performance liquid chromatographic method combining ultraviolet detection and integrated pulsed amperometric detection for the simultaneous quantification of dopamine, 5-hydroxyindolacetic acid, homovanillic acid, serotonin, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid, norepinephrine and epinephrine. All target components were completely separated in a C18 column with isocratic elution of 5% acetonitrile solution containing 8 mM HClO4 and 0.20 mM 1-octanesulfonic acid as an ion pairing reagent.

This work presents the development of an amperometric biosensor for detecting aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity in biological fluids using a platinum disk electrode as the working transducer. Optimal concentrations of substrates (aspartate, α-ketoglutarate) and the coenzyme (pyridoxal phosphate) were determined to ensure efficient biosensor operation. A semi-permeable poly-m-phenylenediamine membrane was applied to enhance selectivity against electroactive interferents.

A nanocomposite consisting of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA), and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was fabricated by a two-step chemical reduction method. Firstly, a PDDA-rGO composite was prepared by using hydrazine hydrate as a reducing agent. Subsequently, the AuNP-PDDA-rGO composite was prepared in ethylene glycol with PDDA-rGO and HAuCl as raw materials using sodium citrate as a reduction agent.

Aminated carbon nanotubes, CNT, were covalently modified with glutardialdehyde (GDI) and the redox dye Azure to form a new electrode material CNT-GDI-Azure (CGA). The nanocomposite of CGA and polysaccharide chitosan was used for the anodic determination of NADH. Compared to conventional carbon and metal electrodes, the CGA electrode drastically lowered the overpotential for NADH oxidation (by > 0.
