The distribution ratio of Mo(VI) and Tc(VII) in different acid media on D-2-EHPA-kieselguhr was studied in batch experiments. From these data a separation procedure for Mo-Tc is proposed, which consists in the selective elution of Tc(VII) and Mo(VI) by reverse-phase partition chromatography. The D-2-EHPA-kieselguhr column can also be used as a solid phase for a(99m)Tc generator.

As an extension of plant root system, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) extraradical mycelium (ERM) can break the limitation of rhizosphere and play an important role in plant nutrient acquisition. However, it remains unclear whether ERM is smart enough to pick out nutrients while avoiding poison, or is unable to pick out nutrients and have to absorb poisons together. Therefore, the present study employed a compartment device to separate the mycelia from roots, aiming to explore the nutrient absorption pathways of mycelia in molybdenum (Mo) pollution soil after inoculation with AMF in maize and vetch plants.

The design and preparation of advanced hybrid nanofibers with controllable microstructures will be interesting because of their potential high-efficiency applications in the environmental and energy domains. In this paper, a simple and efficient strategy was developed for preparing hybrid nanofibers of zinc oxide-molybdenum disulfide (ZnO-MoS) grown on polyimide (PI) nanofibers by combining electrospinning, a high-pressure hydrothermal process, and in situ growth. Unlike simple composite nanoparticles, the structure is shown in PI-ZnO to be like the skeleton of a tree for the growth of MoS "leaves" as macro-materials with controlled microstructures.

Biological peptides have emerged as promising candidates for data storage applications due to their versatility and programmability. Recent advances in peptide synthesis and sequencing technologies have enabled the development of peptide-based data storage systems for realizing novel information storage technologies with enhanced capacity, durability, and data access speeds. In this study, we performed coarse-grained peptide sequencing of 12 distinct sequences through single-layer MoS solid-state nanopores (SSNs) using molecular dynamics (MD).

A novel graphene-bridged MoS/CoO (MCG) nanohybrid was well fabricated by a hydrothermal route. The purpose of valuable and economical S-scheme systems with vigorous interface interactions is pressing to photocatalytic efficiency and efficient utilization. While mighty progress has been created with respect to charge carrier bridges, the charge transferring ability of the facility charge carrier bridges is far from capable owing to lower electrical conductivity.

Approaches that add value to biomass through the use of photoreforming reactions offer great opportunities for the efficient use of renewable resources. Here, we constructed a novel zinc cadmium sulphide/molybdenum dioxide-molybdenum carbide-carbon (ZnCdS-y/MoO-MoC-C) heterojunction which was applied to photoreforming of biomass-based monosaccharides for hydrogen and lactic acid production. Bandgap engineering effectively modulated the redox capacity of ZnCdS-y and exposed more (101) crystalline surfaces, which improved the lactic acid selectivity.
