A number of diazenedicarboxylates have been studied by multinuclear magnetic resonance ((17)O, (15)N, (13)C) and compared with analogous fumaric, maleic, and phthalic diesters; the investigation of selected compounds of these classes was complemented by density functional theory (DFT) calculations using a polarizable continuum model (PCM) for the solvent, employing the PBE0 functional together with the 6-311G(d,p) basis set for geometry optimization, and the 6-311 + G(2d,p) basis set for calculating the NMR shielding using the gauge-including atomic orbital (GIAO) method. This combined approach provided important information about the preferred conformations in chloroform and their influence on the NMR parameters.

Herein, we report the isolation of pyridine moiety-functionalized SiNSi pincer-based bis-silylene ligand () and its reactivity toward various halide precursors (X = Br and I) of group 13 elements (M = Al, Ga, and In). This gave us straightforward access to the SiNSi pincer-coordinated group 13 cations (-). These complexes are duly characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies, multinuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H, C, and Si), and high-resolution mass spectrometry techniques.

Glutathione (GSH) is a master antioxidant that counters oxidative stress. Clinical studies have confirmed significant depletion of GSH in the hippocampus and the substantia nigra as an early diagnostic biomarker for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson disease (PD), respectively. External agents like anesthetics (inhaled and intravenous) have a different impact on GSH.

Mild traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are frequent in the European population. The pathophysiological changes after TBI include metabolic changes, but these are not observable using current clinical tools. We aimed to evaluate multinuclear MRI as a mean of assessing these changes.

The 5,6-Bis(diisopropylphosphino)acenaphthene -stabilized Sb(I) cationic compound [LSb][OTf] (OTf = CFSO) possessing two lone pairs of electrons on the Sb(I) center showed nucleophilic behavior toward methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate forming the oxidized product [LSbMe][OTf] (OTf = CFSO). Reaction of compound with Lewis acids such as GaCl and AlBr led to changes in the counteranions only giving products [LSb][GaCl] and [LSb][SbBr] , respectively. A metathesis reaction was observed when compound was reacted with PI.

Silicate-based adsorbents offer significant advantages over traditional materials, particularly due to their superior thermal and chemical stability, enhanced regenerability, and the ability to endure more rigorous operating conditions. In this study, an amorphous Na-Ca-magnesium silicate adsorbent (SAAM) and its g-CN-modified counterpart (gCN-SAAM) were synthesized via alkali activation and a subsequent thermal process, respectively. The g-CN modification resulted in a novel hybrid adsorbent with a remarkable methylene blue (MB) adsorption capacity of 420 mg g, four times higher than the unmodified sample, setting a new benchmark.
