X-ray speckles have been used in a wide range of experiments, including imaging (and tomography), wavefront sensing, spatial coherence measurements, X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy and ptychography. In this review and experimental comparison, we focus on using X-ray near-field speckle grains as wavefront markers and numerical methods for retrieving the phase information they contain. We present the most common tracking methods, introducing the existing algorithms with their specifications and comparing their performances under various experimental conditions.

IFO'S communication campaign for the Italian Lung Screening Network (RISP) study, used multiple online and offline channels to engage not only smokers but a diverse audience. Out-reach activities and lifelong learning helped to promote healthy lifestyles, research findings and precision medicine. The campaign has increased the enrollment in the screening program, which in IFO, two years after 'start-up, is 3300.

Construction and demolition activities are significant contributors to waste generation worldwide. As population growth accelerates worldwide, the amount of construction and demolition waste (C&DW) will increase proportionally unless proactive measures are implemented. This study analyzes the evolving research landscape on utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to advance sustainable C&DW management practices.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary hepatic malignancy and a leading cause of cancer related death worldwide. Current guidelines for the noninvasive diagnosis of HCC are provided by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) which endorsed the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) algorithm, the Korean Liver Cancer Association-National Cancer Center (KLCA-NCC), and the Asian-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL). These allow the diagnosis of HCC in high-risk patients in the presence of typical imaging features on contrast-enhanced CT, MRI, or contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
