Background: Intrathecal morphine is the standard for post-cesarean analgesia but often causes pruritus and may be unavailable in resource-limited settings. This study assessed whether a combination of bilateral transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block and intrathecal fentanyl provides non-inferior analgesia compared with intrathecal morphine following cesarean delivery within the multimodal analgesia context.
Methods: Eighty mothers were randomized to receive either intrathecal fentanyl 10 µg with bilateral TAP block using 15 mL of 0.

Background: Quadratus lumborum block (QLB) has gained traction as a regional anesthesia technique to manage postoperative pain following laparoscopic surgery. However, the 90% minimum effective concentration (MEC90) of local anesthetics for posterior QLB remains undetermined.
Methods: We conducted a double-blind, comparative dose-finding study involving 54 women scheduled for elective laparoscopic myomectomy under general anesthesia.

Hamman's syndrome is characterized by spontaneous pneumomediastinum triggered by Valsalva maneuvers and is an uncommon complication during labor and the postpartum period. It is typically benign and managed conservatively with oxygen therapy and analgesia. We present the clinical case of a 21-year-old primigravida who developed spontaneous pneumomediastinum during labor, manifesting with subcutaneous emphysema and dyspnea.
