Acute glaucoma attacks cause a sudden increase in intraocular pressure. In addition to ocular symptoms such as redness, visual impairment, and eye pain, it also presents with headache and vomiting. It is diagnosed using a slit lamp microscope, gonioscope, and anterior segment optical coherence tomography.

Objective/purpose: Standardization of eye care data is important for clinical interoperability and research. We aimed to address gaps in the representations of glaucoma examination concepts within Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine - Clinical Terms (SNOMED-CT), the preferred terminology of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Design: Study of data elements.
Aim: To demonstrate a rare case of ciliary body leiomyoma in our patient Case report: A 72-year-old female reported to our clinic for a preventive examination, upon which we found a dome-shaped grey-brownish mass on the retinal periphery. After completing gonioscopic and ultrasound examinations, we referred the patient to a specialist facility. Due to a finding of suspicious malignant melanoma, we completed the MRI scan and recommended enucleation of the eyeball.

Background: To evaluate real-world utilization of gonioscopy for diagnosing glaucoma among ophthalmologists with diverse subspecialties, and understand current perceptions of teaching, training, and confidence in gonioscopy.
Methods: A nationwide anonymous online survey was conducted among practicing ophthalmologists, querying about demographics, professional experience, practice of routine ocular examination for glaucoma and perceptions of confidence in performing them.
Results: 136 ophthalmologists participated in the survey, with various levels of experience from residency to over twenty years of ophthalmology practice.
