We report measurements of the pi;{-}p-->pi;{0}n differential cross sections at six momenta (104-143 MeV/c) and four angles (0 degrees -40 degrees ) by detection of gamma-ray pairs from pi;{0}-->gammagamma decays using a photon-pair spectrometer at TRIUMF. This kinematic region exhibits a vanishing zero-degree cross section from destructive interference between s and p waves, thus yielding special sensitivity to pion-nucleon dynamics. Our data and previous data do not agree, with important implications for earlier claims of large isospin-violating effects.

The p_{T}-differential production cross sections of prompt D^{0}, Λ_{c}^{+}, and Σ_{c}^{0,++}(2455) charmed hadrons are measured at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13  TeV. This is the first measurement of Σ_{c}^{0,++} production in hadronic collisions.

To access superconductivity via the electric field effect in a clean, two-dimensional device is a central goal of nanoelectronics. Recently, superconductivity has been realized in graphene moiré heterostructures; however, many of these structures are not mechanically stable, and experiments show signatures of strong disorder. Here we report the observation of superconductivity-manifesting as low or vanishing resistivity at sub-kelvin temperatures-in crystalline rhombohedral trilayer graphene, a structurally metastable carbon allotrope.

The observed correlation between the EMC effect and the contribution of short-range correlations (SRCs) in nuclei suggests that the modification of the quark distributions of bound protons and neutrons might occur within SRCs. This raises the possibility that the EMC effect may have an isospin dependence arising from the np dominance of SRCs. We discuss previous attempts to test this possibility and perform a new analysis of existing data.

Three-dimensional Pentagon Carbon with a genesis of emergent fermions.

Carbon, the basic building block of our universe, enjoys a vast number of allotropic structures. Owing to its bonding characteristic, most carbon allotropes possess the motif of hexagonal rings. Here, with first-principles calculations, we discover a new metastable three-dimensional carbon allotrope entirely composed of pentagon rings.

We report the first direct measurement of decays of the Λ_{c}^{+} baryon involving the neutron. The analysis is performed using 567  pb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected at sqrt[s]=4.599  GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider.
