We consider the effect of laser beam shaping on proton acceleration in the interaction of a tightly focused pulse with ultrathin double-layer solid targets in the regime of directed Coulomb explosion. In this regime, the heavy ions of the front layer are forced by the laser to expand predominantly in the direction of the pulse propagation, forming a moving longitudinal charge separation electric field, thus increasing the effectiveness of acceleration of second-layer protons. The utilization of beam shaping, namely, the use of flat-top beams, leads to more efficient proton acceleration due to the increase of the longitudinal field.

Aim: This study aims to analyze the root canal configuration system of mandibular first premolars in the Bengali subpopulation using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Materials And Methods: Based on Vertucci's classification, the root canal morphology of 100 randomly selected mandibular first premolars in 56 males and 44 females from the Bengali subpopulation of West Bengal was assessed in vitro. The location of the apical foramen, lateral canal, C-shaped canal, types of canal orifice cross-sections, minor constriction diameter, tooth length, and root length were noted.

Objective: To study the biomechanical changes induced by differences in perioral force in patients with missing anterior maxillary teeth at rest via finite element analysis (FEA).
Methods: Using conical beam CT (CBCT) images of a healthy person, models of the complete maxillary anterior dental region (Model A) and maxillary anterior dental region with a missing left maxillary central incisor (Model B) were constructed. The labial and palatine alveolar bone and tooth surface of the bilateral incisor and cusp regions were selected as the application sites, the resting perioral force was applied perpendicular to the tissue surface, and the changes in maxillary stress and displacement after the perioral force was simulated were analyzed.

Objective: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate morphometric changes in mandibular condyles of patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion following two-jaw orthognathic surgery planned using virtual surgical planning (VSP) and analysed with automated three-dimensional (3D) image analysis based on deep-learning techniques.
Materials And Methods: Pre-operative (T1) and 12-18 months post-operative (T2) Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans of 17 patients (mean age: 24.8 ± 3.

This study aims to determine the optimal structure of the Beam Shaping Assembly (BSA) for an AB-BNCT (Accelerator-Based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy) facility. The aim is to maximize the possible depth of treatment for glioblastoma while ensuring that a treatment time constraint is not exceeded. Approach.

X-ray diffraction (XRD) has evolved significantly since its inception, becoming a crucial tool for material structure characterization. Advancements in theory, experimental techniques, diffractometers and detection technology have led to the acquisition of highly accurate diffraction patterns, surpassing previous expectations. Extracting comprehensive information from these patterns necessitates different models due to the influence of both electron density and thermal motion on diffracted beam intensity.
