Various forms of psychological interventions have since long been proposed as potentially helpful adjuncts to standard pharmacological therapy of psoriasis. All studies investigating the effectiveness of psychological intervention in psoriasis reported its positive impact on the patients' psychological well-being and some studies also reported improvements in the skin condition as a result of psychotherapy.
