We present a case of supraventricular tachycardia affecting one fetus in a twin pregnancy. Before and after treatment with flecainide and cardioversion, we examined conduction times and heart rate variability (HRV) in both twins on the basis of magnetocardiography. Cardiac conduction times increased in both fetuses but HRV showed opposing effects with a number of HRV measures. This case demonstrates that magnetocardiography not only enables identification of fetal arrhythmia, but also permits the investigation of the effects of antiarrhythmic treatment on the conductive system as well as on interaction with the autonomic nervous system.

Background: Ventricular fibrillation (VF) is a vicious arrhythmia usually generated after removal of the aortic cross-clamp (ACC) in patients undergoing open-heart surgery, which could damage cardiomyocytes, especially in patients with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH). Amiodarone has the prominent properties of converting VF and restoring sinus rhythm. However, few studies concentrated on the effect of amiodarone before ACC release on reducing VF in patients with LVH.

Background: Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe condition with multifaceted causes, including inflammation and oxidative stress. This research investigates the influence of m6A (N6-methyladenosine) modification on GBP4, a protein pivotal for macrophage polarization, a critical immune response in ALI.
Methods: Utilizing a mouse model to induce ALI, the study analyzed GBP4 expression in alveolar macrophages.

Monopolar electrocautery is usually a safe and effective technique used in laparoscopic cholecystectomy and bile duct surgery, but it may lead to adverse consequences, even ventricular fibrillation (VF). Amiodarone is an effective antiarrhythmic drug commonly used in practice to treat ventricular and atrial arrhythmias, but it may induce tachyarrhythmia or even VF. We report a case of VF occurring twice during cholecystectomy.

Background: Catheter ablation (CA) is increasingly recognized as an effective treatment for ventricular tachycardia (VT) in myocarditis patients, although current evidence is based on less robust data.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to confirm CA's efficacy in reducing VT recurrence and to identify arrhythmic risk factors in biopsy-proven myocarditis patients.
Methods: In this dual-center, retrospective study, we included 50 patients with biopsy-proven myocarditis and VT.
