Maximum incorporation of the label after administration of 14C-bicarbonate to free pyrimidine nucleotides begins by the 60th minute. Radioactivity of cytidine nucleotides at all time points is four-eight times as low as that of uridine nucleotides. 2-14C-orotic acid is incorporated into acid-soluble nucleotides and RNA of the liver and spleen tissues. 60 min after administration of the isotope 20% of radioactivity was found in the liver and 0.3% in the spleen, in both tissues radioactivity of RNA is 20% of 14C-radioactivity in the acid-soluble fraction. The formation rate for cytidine nucleotides from uridine ones in the liver and spleen tissues is low, about 2-6% of uridine nucleotides radioactivity is found in them only, that may be due to a low activity of CTP-synthetase. The content of cytidine nucleotides in these organs is three-life times as low as compared to uridine nucleotides.

Rodents play a significant role in the transmission of zoonotic diseases; anthropization has increased human contact with these animals, vectors of infectious agents. However, the processes driving parasitism of hosts remains poorly understood. , spp.

Situs anomalies, including situs inversus and situs ambiguous (SAMB), are rare congenital conditions typically noted in pediatric populations, with SAMB being particularly uncommon in adults. This case study addresses the incidental discovery of situs ambiguous with polysplenia in a 65-year-old man evaluated for suspected adrenal adenoma. The patient's medical history included benign prostatic hyperplasia and tuberculous pleurisy.

Vascular liver diseases (VLDs) include different pathological conditions that affect the liver vasculature at the level of the portal venous system, hepatic artery, or venous outflow system. Although serological investigations and sometimes histology might be required to clarify the underlying diagnosis, imaging has a crucial role in highlighting liver inflow or outflow obstructions and their potential causes. Cross-sectional imaging provides a panoramic view of liver vascular anatomy and parenchymal patterns of enhancement, making it extremely useful for the diagnosis and follow-up of VLDs.

We assessed the feasibility of using deep learning-based image harmonization to improve the reproducibility of radiomics features in abdominal CT scans. In CT imaging, harmonization adjusts images from different institutions to ensure consistency despite variations in scanners and acquisition protocols. This process is essential because such differences can lead to variability in radiomics features, affecting reproducibility and accuracy.
