Objective: To identify dihydroflavonol glycoside isomers in Smilax glabra.
Method: The sample was analyzed by HPLC-MS in combination with HPLC-1H-NMR.
Result: Four dihydroflavonol glycoside isomers were identified as astilbin, neoastilbin, isoastilbin, neoisoastilbin.
Conclusion: The method is simple and rapid for the identification of dihydroflavonol glycosides in S. glabra.

The color variation of the leaves in autumn is a significant ornamental feature of Bunge, especially when the leaves gradually become redder. Many studies focused on leaf color changes; however, less research has been conducted on the mechanism by which 's autumn leaves turn red. Red, middle and green leaves of were used as the study materials to evaluate their flavonoid-related metabolites and infer gene and metabolite expression patterns in conjunction with transcriptome expression.

Anthocyanin-enriched Chinese cabbage has health-enhancing antioxidant properties. Although various regulators of anthocyanin biosynthesis have been identified, the role of individual repressors in this process remains underexplored. This study identifies and characterizes the R2R3-MYB BrMYB32 in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa), which acts as a repressor in anthocyanin biosynthesis.

Dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR) significantly influences the modification of flower color. To explore the role of in the synthesis of strawberry anthocyanins, in this study, we downloaded the CDS sequences of the gene family from the genome database TAIR; the DFR family of forest strawberry was compared; then, a functional domain screen was performed using NCBI; the selected strawberry DFR genes were analyzed; and the expression characteristics of the family members were studied by qRT-PCR. The results showed that there are 57 members of the DFR gene family in strawberry, which are mainly expressed in the cytoplasm and chloroplast; most of them are hydrophilic proteins; and the secondary structure of the protein is mainly composed of α-helices and random coils.
