Background: Despite repeated calls to action and considerable attention, childhood vaccination uptake has declined for a thirteenth consecutive year in the United Kingdom (UK). Background: People experiencing homelessness are at increased risk of contracting SARS-CoV-2 and of severe complications of COVID-19. Vaccination is promoted as a key strategy to protect against severe illness from SARS-CoV-2 infection, but rates of vaccination among people experiencing homelessness are lower than the general population. Studies suggest lower uptake is a result of vaccine hesitancy, but few theoretically engage with the structural drivers of vaccine hesitancy.

While much of the focus has been on men who have sex with men, survivors of sex trafficking remain overlooked, despite being highly vulnerable to mpox transmission. These individuals face significant health disparities, including limited access to healthcare, exposure to violence and forced sexual encounters in unsafe conditions, which amplify their risk of infection.

Introduction Maternal mortality remains a critical global health issue, with ongoing efforts to reduce its incidence as part of international health priorities. Kenya, a sub-Saharan country that has a disproportionate number of maternal mortality is likely to miss this target unless evidence-based interventions are deployed. The paucity of reliable maternal health data calls for the development of alternative predictive models to complement the impaired civil registration system and the aperiodic national surveys.
