Background: Desmoid-type fibromatosis of the breast is a rare, benign, but locally aggressive tumor that typically affects women. Its presentation in male patients is exceedingly rare, and even more so following a cosmetic procedure such as liposuction. This case report describes a unique presentation of breast fibromatosis in a male patient, who developed the condition after undergoing liposuction for cosmetic purposes to define the pectoral area.

Fibromatosis-like metaplastic carcinoma (FLMC) is a rare subtype of metaplastic carcinoma of the breast. Diagnosing this entity poses significant challenges, particularly in core biopsies due to limited sampling and overlap with benign spindle cell lesions such as nodular fasciitis and fibromatosis. We present an example of FLMC in an asymptomatic middle-aged woman.

Desmoid fibromatosis (DF) is a rare tumor that arises from fibroblasts and myofibroblasts and typically presents on the trunk and limbs. While metastasis of fibromatosis is exceedingly uncommon, DF can spread rapidly to adjacent tissue. Its aggressive nature and frequent recurrence pose challenges for treatment, often requiring a multidisciplinary approach.
