Introduction: Primary pulmonary mucinous cystic neoplasia comprises a group of tumors, from benign cystadenoma to mucinous cystadenocarcinoma.

Case Presentation: We report a case of primary pulmonary mucinous cystadenocarcinoma in a 75-year-old woman who was found to have a right hilar mass on a routine chest X-ray. A lobectomy was performed and the resection specimen revealed a multicystic mucinous tumor. Microscopically, the tumor was composed of confluent mucin-filled cystic spaces lined by columnar mucin-secreting cells which ranged from cytologically bland to moderately atypical with 'bronchioloalveolar pattern' invasion into the adjacent parenchyma. Immunohistochemically, tumor cells were positive diffusely for Cytokeratin 7, and focally for Cytokeratin 20 and Thyroid Transcription Factor-1.

Conclusion: This case highlights the continuous spectrum of pulmonary mucinous cystic neoplasia from benign mucinous cystadenoma to malignant mucinous cystadenocarcinoma, and the probable existence of a 'borderline' mucinous cystic tumor. Although molecular data are lacking to substantiate progression from benign to malignant in these neoplasms, the importance of recognizing the morphologic continuum lies in alerting pathologists to thoroughly examine specimens to rule out invasive foci in tumors with 'borderline' morphology.

Introduction: Asthma is one of the severe respiratory diseases and affects the health of people globally. Animal studies have found that the mucin 5ac(Muc5ac) levels in the lung are associated with asthma. This paper aimed to systematically evaluate the relationship between Muc5ac levels in lung and asthma by extracting relevant data from animal experiments.

Introduction: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is the most common extra-articular manifestation in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Studies have concluded that there is an association between rs35705950 polymorphism of the MUC5B gene and RA-ILD.

Aim: To explore this polymorphism in a cohort of Tunisian patients suffering from RA with or without ILD and stufdy its association to ILD during RA.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with invasive non-mucinous adenocarcinoma (INMA) being the most common type and carrying a poor prognosis. In 2020, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) pathology committee proposed a new histological grading system, which offers more precise prognostic assessments by combining the proportions of major and high-grade histological patterns. Accurate identification of lung INMA grading is crucial for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and prognosis evaluation.

In the past 20 years infections caused by Mycobacterioides abscessus have become increasingly common in patients with chronic lung conditions. The microorganisms are also resistant to a number of antibiotic classes, making treatment challenging. To begin understanding how the bacterium adapts to the lung environment, pure colonies of M.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) poses global health challenges owing to limited treatment options and high rates of morbidity and mortality. Airway organoids have recently become a valuable resource for the investigation of respiratory diseases. However, limited access to clinical tissue samples hinders the use of airway organoids to study COPD.
