Intergenerational connectedness broadly encompasses relations among humans, lands, and all living and spiritual beings, and functions as an important part of Indigenous well-being. Many public health campaigns and interventions aim to promote connectedness to support holistic wellness and reduce health inequities. Currently, however, there are no measurement tools to assess intergenerational connectedness to support culturally grounded research and program evaluation.

The restricted mean survival time has been widely used in the field of medical research because of its clear physical and simple clinical interpretation. In this paper, we propose an efficient estimation that incorporates the auxiliary restricted mean survival information into the estimation of the proportional hazard (PH) model. Compared to conventional models that do not incorporate available auxiliary information, the proposed method improves efficiency in estimating regression parameters by utilizing the double empirical likelihood method.

The immune system provides defense against foreign agents that are considered harmful for the organism. Inorganic nanomaterials can be recognized by the immune system as antigens, inducing an immune reaction dependent on the patient's immunological anamnesis and from several factors including size, shape, and the chemical nature of the nanoparticles. Furthermore, nanomaterials-driven immunomodulation might be exploited for therapeutic purposes, opening new horizons in oncology and beyond.

Background: Intraoperative bleeding is one of the major challenges in rhinoplasty.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV) versus volume-controlled ventilation (VCV) modes on intraoperative bleeding during rhinoplasty.
Methods: In a double-blinded randomized clinical trial, 58 candidates for rhinoplasty were randomly assigned to the PCV or VCV groups.

Nanomedicine has revolutionized cancer treatment by the development of nanoparticles (NPs) that offer targeted therapeutic delivery and reduced side effects. NPs research in nanomedicine significantly focuses on understanding their cellular interactions and intracellular mechanisms. A precise understanding of nanoparticle interactions at the subcellular level is crucial for their effective application in cancer therapy.
