6-Hydroxydopamine (6OH-DA) pretreatment increased the aggressive behavior induced by marihuana in REM sleep-deprived rats. Brain catecholamine assays revealed that 6OH-DA depleted popamine (DA) and norepinephrine (NE) to a different extent, increasing the DA/NE ratio. Intraventricular injection of NE significantly decreased the aggressive behavior of these animals, whereas control solution or DA injections had no effect. The possible role played by DA and NE in the aggressive behavior induced by marihuana in REM sleep-deprived rats is discussed.

Many forms of online political incivility threaten democratic norms, contribute to polarization, and are often directed at women and racial minorities. Recent research shows that online political incivility may come from a minority of users that are just as hostile offline as they are online, meaning that individual differences in personality traits may be an important predictor of online political incivility. Reputational peer nominations are a common method for measuring involvement in aggression-related behaviors, encompassing the roles of aggressor, victim, and defender, but may be influenced by students' affective (dis)liking relationships. This social network study investigated whether dyad- and group-level (dis)liking relationships affect perceptions of classmates' involvement in physical aggression and explored the moderating roles of classroom moral disengagement and defending norms.
