Xanthelasma can be treated with acids, laser or primary suture, all presenting frequent relapses besides being inefficacious in extensive cases. The authors present the functional and esthetic result of a female patient's case with extensive xanthelasmas on the upper and lower eyelids which were removed combined with upper and lower blepharoplasty, using the skin removed from the upper eyelids to cover the defect in the lower, and vice-versa.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel drug-coated balloon (DCB), Genoss DCB (Genoss) using shellac plus vitamin E as an excipient, compared to a reference DCB using urea.

A 54-year-old man presented with a 1-month history of pain and numbness in the right lower limb. Lumbar spine MRI revealed bone metastases. 18F-FDG PET/CT showed a soft tissue mass with increased 18F-FDG uptake in the rectum, accompanied by multiple hypermetabolic lesions in the bilateral ribs, spine, pelvis, and upper right femur.

Droplets impinging on sparse microgrooved polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surfaces with different solid fractions was experimentally investigated. First, wettability and stability of droplets on these surfaces was analyzed. The advancing and receding contact angles were found to have a large difference between in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse one, which could be attributed to the anisotropy of the micropatterned surfaces.
